Re: Calling Canadian riders from down under

I would hazard a guess and say you could find a decent kitesurfing spot near any of the major centers here in Canada. Get yourself a good 6/5/4 with a built in hoody, some good booties, mitts and keep your expectations low and you'll do fine  Remember... winter in Oz is a lot like summer here :...

Re: what kind of paint should I use for a saltwater board?

it doesn't matter. just put a layer of resin over top and you can use what ever you like. I used water based test pots for one of my repaints If you put layer of epoxy resin on top then your board will yellow real quick. Maybe polyester resin might do ok on the top. Epoxy based resin.needs to have ...

Re: BodyDragging Upwind in Shallow Water, help please.

How come you can't walk up wind with the kite again ? I don't think you wanna body drag in shallows, you never know whats there you're scrapping up against... especially if the area was just dredged out

I thought of doing that well after if happened, a couple months after actually  If the conditions are good, steady winds, warm water and air, not to tired, ...

Re: How to Rescue a Kite in Offshore Spot?

This very thing happened to us at our local spot last September. In fact it happened two times out of three sessions, two weeks apart. First time was my friends 11m and the 2nd time it was his brand new 14m, both times was a strong SW wind. I was on my 7m fuel both times. (I'm a light weight). Both ...

Re: Kite fatality in Montreal, Canada

My condolences. His family must be devastated.

When the details finally emerge we should start another thread on the subject of location, conditions, QR and spiraling kites with respect to what happened here.

Re: Core Riot XR2 15m2 - anyone have or tested it?

I'm surprised such large kites don't have a big dump valve. Those sticks are a pain. And is it a good idea to roll up a kite ? I would think that would be hard on the stitching.

Re: Epic Infinity & Bullshit Light Wind Claims

Actually, while we're on the subject, a lot of riders would be interested to learn MOMI's opinion on the "2-4 knot" claim and the ACTUAL low-end for this kite. As the designer, MOMI, probably more than most, would know the true light wind capabilities for this kite. Why would that be ? The person t...
