GKA Best trick competition

I have complained about the production of videos from the freestyle world tour on this forum before, which is why I wanted to point out this event, which I found pretty awesome. In the the GKA World tour at Sotavento, there was not only freestyle competition, but also strapless freestyle, a mixed bi...

Re: Safety issue of connecting kite leash to the back or side of Harness

Thanks for the video Taabsr. It highlights a potential problem that I have been neglecting. My setup is a Manera Exo harness with a Core short leash. exo front.JPG Exo back.JPG Core short.JPG As you can see from the images, there is no connection point in the front, and not really on the side either...

Cape Town Wind statistics on Windfinder

I was a bit surprised seeing these statistics. bloubergwindfinder.JPG Is Windfinder right here? I've been to Cape Town several times, and wind has not always been great, but 1 of 4 days with 4 Beaufort in season sounds like too little. Does anyone have experience with the wind in CT in november? Tha...

Re: Chen Thrills Home Fans with Near Flawless Outing at Formula Kite Asians in China

Both the articles, the video and the website make it really difficult to understand what is going on. I can see that Taradin is leading the World cup, but nobody else from the Top 5, men and women, was competing in this cup. Why is that? What is foil racing really about? Obviously up- and downwind s...

Re: No need for a release system/safety?

Lentens quick release just opened mid air? That is a standard Ozone bar?
Is that Barceloneta by the way? Looks like it with surfers and the hotel building.

Vacuum bags

Do you guys have experience with using vacuum bags to reduce packing size of your kites?

Could it be bad for the kites?

Best regards
Bernie

Re: Core bar - correct trim

I have given the bar to the local kiteshop to do a safety line replacement, which looked like a major hassle.
I'll update as soon as I have it again.

Re: Core bar - correct trim

Yes, but the Core pigtails have a length difference of a few centimetres out of the factory. If I trim the lines without the pigtails, there will be a length difference of several centimetres between back and front lines as soon as I put the pigtails back on. My understanding is to trim the lines a...

Re: Core bar - correct trim

So you suggest trimming with the pigtails. This is also what I thought would make the most sense.
Is it correct that trimming without the pigtails would let to a not correctly set up bar with the asymmetric pigtails attached?
