Re: Progression of a roll tack , need help

Chuck a vid up and we can see.

I find most people have their weight too far back and don't carry enough speed into the tack.

Speed into the tack and getting that glide upwind while pushing your hips forward as you go past dead upwind normally leads to success, that and hundreds of attempts.

This is why I quite foiling about 5 years ago. I think the newer ones you can ride powered? right? When I started on a carbon zeeko,...

TSA, the reason I won't go to the US (+many more reasons). Morons with too much power and too little brains..

Kinda reminds me of the president but hey, that's a whole other discussion.

Re: 4 meters waves yesterday at tarifa!

There is no way a surfer could have ridden that initial section, it was breaking SO fast that the kite surfer must have been going 30+ to keep ahead of it!

Surfer in fairness probably didn't see him coming at that speed. I bet he felt the spray as he was faded from behind!

Re: How often do you swim in @ <10knots ?

I only fly foil kites on my foil board and so when it is <10 I use a 15m sonic which stays in the air in really light wind. I only swam in once since starting KHF and that was in the summer when the wind went offshore and died for some odd reason (not forecast to swing or drop!) In light winds, you ...

Re: Foil kite line length for boosting

On my 15 Sonic and twin tip I use 27m lines. It is a pain in the arse to launch and land on skinny beaches but it is better for air style riding. The kite loops way higher so when you're coming out of dark slides and the like the loop isn't too aggressive. have jumped over 12m on the 15 sonic with t...

Re: Unhooking for big boys!!

When I was 120kg I could unhook without much effort. Big powered railys were hard as the amount of grip you need to keep hold of the bar was something else. Now I am 110 kg it is a lot easier. When I was 103kg the year before last I was able to do a lot more. check your gear dude as 125 is coming up...

It's just because the world isn't ready for the best raceboard yet:
