Re: High end foil and board rec for kite/wake crossover

Thanks for info Juan and Bob. Bob - you said you ride a 3'6" dwarf. Do you think something bigger would be better since I'm more of a beginner? I noticed the Armstrong foil chart recommends either a 3'11" or 4'5" for kite/wake... What do you like about the Dwarfs over the Armstrong? My friend also ...

Re: High end foil and board rec for kite/wake crossover

Hi Mark, I/we picked up Armstrong foils this year and we've been testing them a ton all summer long. Love these high end carbon foils. They are absolutely gorgeous looking foils with a fit and finish that is better than most. Super easy to switch out front wings and they don't offer 5 million versi...

Re: Beginner question

So based off of your description, you're 99% most likely pulling in WAY too much on the bar on relaunch. If the kite was drifting backwards due to it being too far upwind and flapping before letting go of the kite, you'd probably know to sheet out as it's drifting back to correct. Since you didn't m...

Re: Small lei

7m Slingshot UFO or 8m Ghost. Been riding and testing the UFO a ton since they came out and they are the real deal for foiling. Amazing low end and the top end is also very impressive. It's really cool how it has a second and third gear for speed if you like to ride faster. Drifting? Excellent. If y...

Re: What foil.

Hey......what's up Floating Around? Good stuff on here. Grigory knows the Moses gear really well and giving really good advice above. I sell Moses and also Armstrong. The Armstrong gear is a little more expensive, and you get a lot fewer options overall which can make things easier. If you really li...

Re: Slingy Apollo 2020 wing...

Does anyone know how the weight of the SS Apollo 60 compares to the Moses 633? I'm (178 lbs/80 kgs) using the SS H2 (Gamma) now with a LF Galaxy 4'2" board. I'm intermediate level freeride, can jibe reliably with down loops in both directions, like to jump, starting to work on duck tacks and foot s...

Re: Slingshot Phantasm Carbon foil launch - 2020

Updates? Is the Phantasm release on hold because of production in the China factories or is it a shipping thing? I know with Covid things are on hold but has this project even begun or should I look for another brand to purchase. I really like the quality and modularity of Slingshots foils and woul...

Re: Who are the foilers?

Peter, one of the things that you are missing here is that what Bob is telling you (and so am I), is that we KNOW that Wakefoils are outselling the others. Not anecdotally from what we SEE, but from what the sales figures show in the industry. I have also never seen anyone wake foiling, but...it's ...
