Re: Ocean Rodeo Prodigy owners: how are you using it?

Dom, I have a 9.5 that I haven't flown yet, bought it for the girlfriend to teach her on. Thing is, I was just down in Hatteras and talked to an instructor from Kittyhawk Kites and he said the Prodigy overflies like crazy and he doesn't like it at all for teaching. I would like to know before I fly ...

Re: Naish mid-season catalog reveals no-strut kite!

Bingo! Zob and Zact both nailed it right on the head....Naish are trying to capitalize on the work of Board Riding Maui by rushing "their" strutless kite to market, hence the one size only. They are hedging their bet on the strutless concept(market) without spending a lot of their development funds ...

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Rowboat and others It's critical that you check your line lengths BEFORE trying to fly your CLOUDS for the first time. Greg is very adimant about that fact for the following reason, that's why it's in his instructions !!!! The CLOUD has such a short depower throw the sweet spot is very small, and an...

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Rowboat I use my CLOUDS with my OR bars as well. First thing, remove the rearline pigtail from the OR lines and stash them away. Then on the front attachment point on the kite bridle(sliders) just tie a knot in the pigtail and attach your front lines there. Then double check your lines like BWD ment...

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Windfreak

I've only used my 13m on the snow so far, but at your weight I'm thinking the 13m would suit your needs quite well. A good power producing kite in the winds you are talking about.

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Hi guys Just finished my first session with my 13m Cloud on the snow.....a wonderful experience! Wind was less than 10knts for most of the day, snow was really fresh and deep for Southern Ontario due to the recent storm..... Elmhirst's Resort on Rice Lake was the location, a few guys and one lady ou...

Re: Strutless kite in development on Maui

Hi guys

I just received my small Cloud formation (8-13m) today, so I should be able to report how well they work on the snow here in Southern Ontario by the weekend. Stay tuned!

Thanks Greg and family!

Greg,

What sort of line lengths are you recommending for the larger Clouds?
