Re: Softest surf strap?

NSI Proton are my all time favorite straps. Very soft on the feet.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Anyone have any recommendations on how to recover a small Peak 4 after slacking the lines? I’m 6 sessions in on the 5m and really enjoying the kite. It is my first foil kite. I’m 75 kg and riding the Cloud 9 X24 foil (1138 sq-cm). I was out on my 5m Peak 4 yesterday in really light wind (barely any ...

Re: Clouds are fragile

I have tons of hours on my Clouds and not a single issue with them. No damage, tears, leaks, etc.

I mostly use them for waves and foiling.

Re: Would you buy a very sharp wing?

Yes. My Cloud 9 is nice and dull. I’m not very concerned about landing on it.

Re: Big surf wings

My favorite wing for kiting in waves is the Cloud 9 X24 (1138 cm2). I also have a X28 (1414 cm2) but find it too big in anything other than light wind. The X22 (906 cm2) is a fun wing but I find it a little small for waves.

Re: Foilers - do you still "surf" surf?

2001 to 2006 - 100% twintip 2006 to 2016 - 100% surfboard 2016 to 2018 - 90% foil & 10% surfboard 2018 to 2019 - 80% foil, 10% surfboard, 10% twintip Foiling actually got me interested in the twintip again since I now get so many sessions with the foil. Surfboard only comes out on “proper” wave days...

Re: Small pocket board - looking for recommendation/advice

Over a year on my 42” Kahana Shapes and not a single bad thing to say about the board. Does everything I want it to do.

I’m using it with the Cloud 9 X24 foil

Re: When will i relax and enjoy my foiling?

Took me about 6 months to comfortably ride my foil meaning I longer had to concentrate a lot on balance and wasn’t having unexpected hard crashes.

Two years in I would say I was on full autopilot not having to think about the foil at all and riding waves as well as my regular wave board.

Re: Kanaha shapes 37" Mucho macho.

I’ve been riding my 42” KS board for over year now. I really like the board. I honestly wouldn't’ change anything about it. No issues for me to ride away from a touch down with my surf wing.
