Craz Z - I'm good just a little flustrated with trying to learn in overpowered/lull/overpowered/lull....or.... just enough wind to get pumped up, eaten by bugs for hours, get just enough wind to launch - only to get dumped for plenty of swim time, tangling...

Looking on line I see there's several places offering lessons in Hood River area. I'm wondering if anyone has had experiences with any of the shops/instructors there and could recommend a good instructor. My situation is - I'm flying kites & have gone upwind & ridden ok in snow but riding with ease ...

I'm thinking lessons as well - although - I've flown kites, gone upwind on a snowboard & felt some control, gone downwind in water & felt almost no control. I've finally learned to self launch & land safely, but just haven't had that breakout day where it finally just clicks and feel "that feel" on ...

Congratulations on the new distance record!. What were snow conditions like that day? Ice? Sastrugi?

Have any pics of the aftermath of your board base? Amazing job of not landing hard face plants when transitioning from the snow back to bare ground.

Why split a perfectly good snowboard you ask? How about 1. You see that area about a mile from the highway & have no 'bile. This is the only way to go there 2. You get a few miles from the rig in that huge open meadow and the wind dies this is the easy way home 3. You actually want to access wildern...

How do you guys like those tracked 4-wheelers? Almost makes more sense than 'biles if they don't get buried too easy.
