Re: Upgrading after 8 years

Yeh you wouldn't last long here charging for demos. They write off this usage (must be a type of depreciation use anyway then sell them at the end of the year. It's part of doing business. You say 10-23? No... On a normal good day, what's the range. 10-23 would be considered a cluster f*** of a day ...

Re: Upgrading after 8 years

Alright at the height of your season where you get the most true winds and the best sessions are to be had...

What is your main wind range. (In knots please).

Is the wind thermal, trade, frontal?

What is the water type. Flat. Waves, ocean chop and is there any currents to be had. ?

So these bird lovers would rather have tons of concrete and steel running through and anchored to a pristine seabed... Just about sums up what I feel about these vested interest hippy groups.

Re: Upgrading after 8 years

thats 68kg right? So you gonna use your SB only or still use a TT. sounds like both. So something in the all round category. Pick a main kite, your workhorse that you will be on 70-80 percent of the time. Build a quiver around that. You are better off being 80 percent of the time in the sweet spot o...

Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge......this one sucks.

So would building over the original road devalue the properties there? Is there some very valuable properties near this original road and who owns them? Look for the land value issue, you'll find the answer there. No one in power really gives two fcks about bird protectors nor the environment trust ...

Re: Kiteboard Positions

Ever abseiled? Hang off your harness. Power of kite moves through your harness your torso and down through your legs. Arms should take little pressure, nice and light. And what Toby said about bent back leg, straight front, twist body (well actually just gave your head upwind and the body will follo...

Re: Strength V weight for holding down power.

Exactly plummet. I wonder how many commenting here have gone through a 8 to 10kg (or more) in weight reduction like we have. Mine was 15kg, lost my way with 2 kids under 2 (plus other financial Pressure of the GFC, over leveraged like the guy I am) and was at 90 plus kg. Fighting weight 75. My kite ...

Re: Respect and right of way

Nah bugger that. I will let the lads know and the. We hunt in packs. Just blast the prick off the water, with a smile on your face as well. Avoid this where and if you can but if some prick is just being obnoxious it's game on if ya got the kite skills. Then there's some great laughs to have over be...

Re: Strength V weight for holding down power.

Pfff however you spin the science, given the same weight a kite with more aspect allows you to control the power much better. To a point though. Given to much aspect in really powered conditions the efficiency afforded by the aspect can cause the kite to move to fast and try to hit the edge of the w...
