Re: Modern Type KiteSurfboards

I ride the screamer 5'2 (last picture). Great board. Ride it strapped mostly as I like to mix things up a bit, surfing, boosting, rolling etc and its great for this. This is certainly my primary board of choice now, can't remember the last time I used the TT... Of course if you get any type of surfb...

Re: Liquid Force FDC 5'7 - Cabrinha S Quad 5'7

Thanks for the reply. I must admit I thought the FCD seemed a bit narrow in the specs and you have confirmed this. The S Quad maybe the way to go for me I think.

Thanks again.

Liquid Force FDC 5'7 - Cabrinha S Quad 5'7

Hello all,

Just wondered if anyone who has used the above boards could share their views on how they perform in small - medium wave conditions; build quality etc .

Thanks in advance

Re: Is it worth buying a smaller surfboard

Thanks for the replies. These are 2012/2013 Crazyfly boards aka Takii 6.0 and Taurin. 5.8. Just wanted to know if I would feel a real difference going to the smaller board. Looking for snappier turns, maybe a bit more airtime but no so fussed about that. Tend to ride in wind blown mushy waves around...

Is it worth buying a smaller surfboard

Hi, been riding a 6ft 19.5 inchsurfboard for a while now and loving it. I now have an opportunity to get its smaller brother @ 5'8 and 19 inch . Question I have is, is it worth it? Will I notice a lot of difference? For info I tend to ride strapped and weigh 196 lbs, 89kgs.

Thanks!

Knee arthroscopy - meniscus tear

Just wondered whether anyone has had one of these done? I have had some discomfort with my left knee for a while (bad twist from a failed rotation!); particularly noticeable after a session on the sea. MRI showed a torn meniscus and consultant advises a knee arthroscopy, essentially a keyhole surgic...

Riding a Surfboard. Riding a TT

Out of curiosity why do you ride what you ride? Did you start on a TT, tried a surfboard and never went back to the TT? Did you try a surfboard and went straight back to the TT? Or do ride both with equal satisfaction? This is not meant to be a bashing thread of either ride, I'm just interested in t...

Re: Gear comparison 12m2

If you can get the best deal on the the Trigger then go for that, I have the 2013 12m version and cannot fault it, it's a great kite to fly, excellent range and depower. The only thing I would say is they need a lot of psi due to three strut and a thin LE, I typically put between 9 and 10 psi in min...

Re: Is purchasing a surfboard a good way to recover... ?

Got one. A Crazyfly Takii 6' 19" width so should hopefully do the job. Nice looking thing, would look good on the wall of my lounge, though I don't think the Missus would be too pleased!
Arghhhh buying kit, it's good for the soul...

Re: Is purchasing a surfboard a good way to recover... ?

Thanks for all the feedback, very helpful. I think I will probably go the surfboard route, and see how I go. I suppose I could just mow the lawn on a TT but I know the temptation to boost and loop would be too great. In terms of kite sizes would I use the same kite size for a given wind strength on ...
