Re: Slingshot UFO 11M

Been thinking to ask this question for quite some time, but all UFO reviews and threads stretched up to 9m only. And somehow I missed this one. Would a lightweight LE material (aluula, hookipa, etc.) make much sense for a 10-11m UFO? Or given the large canopy area, a lighter weight material needs to...

Re: new Nort Navigator Bar?

The center piece of the new North bar is stainless steel, so is the new Cabrinha bar.
No abrasion causing sharp edges, little to no wear on the PU sheathing.
No need for servicing (replacement) like Core or Duotone.

Re: Bar for foiling

Asked earlier without response, so here we go again: Would sk99 300kg lines be enough for center lines? Foiling only, single strut or no strut kites. Sometimes powered freeride, but in lightish winds. I am also interested in upgrading my bar and looking for the right lines to buy. You did get a res...

Re: Prescription sunglasses

I love my photochromic contact lenses!
Had to learn to close my eyes at wipe out and haven't lost one yet.

Indoors they are completely transparent (no tint at all).

Re: Bar for foiling

How about 300kg for front lines? I have no clue what kind of loads you get when pushing hard. Not race level push, but pretty fast freeriding at times. More than sufficient. But lines are normally overspec'd for 2 reasons: - Safety - even after heavy use and abuse, a 1,5-1,7mm (400-500kg) line has ...

@fleetrico - can you provide the contact info for your PTU/PTFE? I have not been able to find a tube that works for me. Thx!
Have you checked FEP and PFA? Both more flexible than PTFE, but have some down sides.
