Re: BRM Clouds arbitrage opportunity

I was on Maui last fall and could have used a new smaller kite so I emailed them, Greg wanted to see if I really needed one and I did not end up buying one. All that said, Greg really does care about his customers and wants to give them the best service. The kites are great (if you can get them), I ...

Re: Is a Flysurfer Soul 18m too much for hydrofoil in light wind?

I have a little different take on it. If the wind is expected to be 5-9 knots, I will take a 12m, 15m and 18m to the beach and use whichever is best suited. Like most free riders on a foilboard, I generally choose the smallest kite that I can reasonable get away with. With light winds around 7-8 kno...

Re: Flysurfer VMG

I have the Sonic 2 9m and the Sonic Race 7m, I have all of the Sonic 2 kites. I don't find that the 9m really flies any different to the 11m other than being smaller. I find that the wind is a little more gusty when higher in the places that I fly it. I have been using shorter lines on the 9m, 18m l...

Re: Flysurfer VMG

It looks like the aspect ratio went down with the VMG compared to the Race, seems a little weird that the more racy VMG kite has a lower aspect ratio. I have several of the Sonic Race kites and all of the Sonic 2 kites. They fly a little different, I prefer the Sonic 2 but like the Race in the bigge...

Re: Don't buy a CORE kite before you read this!

I broke a bridle line on a German kite a few weeks ago, I had a kite in a tree and was glad that I only had one broken bridle line. I went online, selected my kite and bridle line and something like 5 days later it arrived and I was happy.

Looking for a padded shipping bag, 142cm-50cm board

I have looked around without any success for a very well padded bag for my Ketos Skim board. I would like something that I could use to FedEx the board ahead of time or take with me on international flights. It would be nice if it had room for extra gear when flying and pack it to 50 lbs. I would be...

Re: Strappless or Strapped for Learning to Foil ??

I learned strapless and I think it is much safer on the ankles and knees. After you get the hang of it, it is no big deal. You will not be able to jump strapless unless you get super good but the water start is not that bad.

Re: Ketos wave xxl vs Moses Onda 633?

I have the FR XL and the Wave XL, I have never heard of the Wave XXL My favorite wing is the FR 2, just a good all around wing. I have the FR XL for light wind but usually just leave the FR 2 on the board so I don't use it much. If the waves are really rough like Maui, I prefer the Wave XL. I can ke...

Re: Sandusky Bay sandbar notice!

The sand bar is the location of the Sandusky Barge Party, I went there one time on a friends boat. I will include a youtube video and you can find lots of pictures and videos, some are entertaining. They have had some problems with litter during the barge party and many other times. They are not pla...

Re: Lac d'annecy, info?

I have spent time there in the summer and rarely has it ever been windy. There are lakes in the Alps where it gets windy but I don’t think that lake is one of them
