Re: FireWire vanguard ?

Felix,

What is the weight of these boards? We all understand Firewire's reluctance to provide a weight due to minor differences in production, but an 8lb (3.7kg) board never becomes a 6lb (2.7kg) board.

Perhaps you could just weigh your 5'2" all-in (fins, tailpad, wax)?

Re: Worst purchase of 2013

2012 Slingshot Celeritas Strapless version (fortunately purchased on close out in 2013). It is a poorly designed piece of junk.

Re: kook alert

I can see it now, bunch of locals standing around just watching....with the 'I'm just here to get my sesh in' attitude letting this douche bag risk their entire access...if they cant get their act together, work as a team and step in, then perhaps they deserve to loose their access... NYKiter, perh...

Re: Make an offer website for Best and Naish kites

I would strongly suggest that everyone hold off on providing their information to this website until someone with credibility stands up for it. 21 posts and 28 posts seems a bit light. ATM it looks like a scam. The site doesn't even seem to be using https:....re:. where they ask for your credit inf...

Re: I have had it with the drift in the ocean

I can DRIFT like that however if I'm not quick whitewater usually pushes me around and I have to start over again. Can't seem to get any traction to get tension on a kite lines to dive kite fast enough. What about if you have a twintip on your feet in identical conditions? Can you create the necess...

Re: I have had it with the drift in the ocean

Still working on kiting with Drift in Ocean. Trouble starting strapless because board slides out from under me. Any tips? I'll fall for it. Can you clarify what you mean by "Drift in Ocean" and "board slides out from under me." If you mean you are struggling in situations with a strong sideshore cu...

Re: Surf weight

Wow, that post is full of amazing info. Thanks. I believe you stated earlier that you only shape for yourself? Or do you make boards for others? I like the sound of some of your ideas to build a board strong enough, yet still remaining conscious of weight, flex and performance. Curious Was the rusty...

Re: Surf weight

5'10 custom built by me. 6 lb 9 oz with stomp pad and fins. easily could have made it lighter but It's bombproof scratch proof and dent proof anywhere that matters. (top and rails) For the most part I throw it around and don't even use a board bag. It's nice when you aren't driven by profit just pe...
