Re: trimless bar setup for racing?

The next session I tried to not use the trim and didn't work for me at all! I definitely need some trim to go upwind with a powered kite (e.g. 15m in 15+ knots). I guess you were on long lines, correct? I have stopped using the depower once I've started to use short lines. Soul 15m on 9-12m lines w...

Re: A15ME for a heavier guy

Edge. I sold all my foils. It's not about them, but me :) I love pumping the kite, get that six pack, and not to swim in. All my buddies were swimming in at some stage. Not me. Hate it. Foils are fine, nice to fly, but the benefits for recreational kiter are low. Plus, ex-PG pilot, fine with bridles...

Re: Which year is this bar? :)

Well,

Yeah, the release is. But the bar is actually way beyond anything at that time.

The bar ends are soft enough, ultra soft grip, and whats the best is the bar ends can be rotated. Hence double grip life.

Very impressed with 2002 bar. Particularly if doesn't need floaters ;)

Re: Flysurfer Soul 12 difficult to handle at the top end

Direnc,

On that wind my mate is on 8m Soul, and he is about
70 +.
12m is quite slow compared to 10 or 8 and the reason why he is on 8 is quick redirect and looping.

The reason why the other guy was not overpowered might be a small board, who knows...

Re: Pocket board building

5 cm from where? Starting at 1/3 length wise from the nose? Or 1/4? or 1/2? That's a lot of rocker not to expect a springback from 12mm thick wood. However, 4mm thick is another matter! 1 mm is, well, touchy :naughty: How to get to 4mm (or 1mm)? Simple. 10 mins router job or thin blade saw from 12mm...
