Re: Shinn Jackson - Sunburner

New Jackson feels like a completely different board. For sure those who are pushing super hard to race levels me want a 100% solid board but for freeriding the new one is very good. I have a carbon volume board and I cant tell any difference at normal power levels (well my normal power levels anyway...

Re: Shinn K2 Foil - Progression accelerator

I had the same thoughts when I used this foil too. The increase in speed does not mean an increase in front foot pressure - it's very balanced and confidence inspiring in a straight line. It's 850cm, so goes really early and yet your top speed is a function of how much power you want to pour in, the...

Re: Airush Lithium Progression 12m?

:Thanks for your replies. As I am still a beginner I guess progression should be just fine for me :D I have a choice of flying it on 20 or 24 m lines (Blade uni bar I have has 20+4 extension, it is a V). What length I should use with 12m Progression I bought last week on sale? :thumb: Personal pref...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

Thought the same but i was told that the 10 Ultra is very powerfull (and low end in 9 wave is not great That's true, There are two main patters in the new V2 Ultra. 9 and downover are the same as last year, but 10 and above are lighter and faster turning designs, so they feel like they have more po...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

Thanks Mike. I have 145 lightwind Crazyfly TT but mostly ride surfboards in the 5'8 size fairly wide with smaller kites 185 lbs. The 14 can be a bit much in the surf sometimes. The idea here is to replace the older 14 with something newer for those marginal days when I just want to get out and ride...

Re: Guide to the Airush Union 4 - real world what's new, where it's gone, what it's like..

I don't suppose the bridles are MUCH shorter this year? Whilst I like the steering feel in the older unions, the length of the bridle makes setting up and packing up in strong winds a little more time consuming. Indeed - the new bridle is shorter, lighter, and more compact. I'd have to measure one ...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

Can any of the Airush users out there compare a 2012 Lithium 14 LW kite to a current Ultra V2 12 or 14m? I am wondering if I can get the same low end out of the new Ultra 12 or should I get the 14? I assume the ULTRAs have better high end. I always the thought the 14 LW turned well for a kite that ...

A separate review. John Bouchet - Jersey - UK This guy is well ahead of me in standard (freestyle) and also foils and waverides, so pretty allround.. He uses Razor mostly with a bit of Ultra and Wave. I had a mega first session on the Union V4 10m yesterday, I stuck my woo in freestyle mode and was ...
