Re: Lowest bar pressure kite?

The Ocean Rodeo Flite has light bar pressure. I think the 12m would also make a decent kite for foiling in light wind if you choose that rout.

Re: Learning Strapless, what to do first, Jibe, Tack etc?

Not really sure on all the terminology here but I can tell what helped me. 1)Carving: Find some flat water and go way upwind. Then, do a downwinder while practicing going heel side to toe side as you follow your kite through the turns . This will help the most in wave riding. 2) Switching stance: Co...

Re: 14m 3-strut "lighter" wind kite recommendations?

Ocean Rodeo Flite 14.5m is a great light wind kite. The 2018 and newer models now have the same kite bridle attachment configuration ( loops of the kite's front bridle, knots on the back/steering bridle lines ) as your Cab kites, so would work on your Cab bars. I second that. At about 220 lbs, it's...

Re: Is strapless overrated?

But if you choose to handicap yourself by riding without straps, your likely delusional, probably emotional and quite likely a snob. I agree. Beginners should start with straps until they get the basics down. However, there is a balance and flow you lose as soon as your foot goes into a strap and y...

Re: Is strapless overrated?

For me, straps get in the way. Only upside I can see is boosting. However, more satisfied with a 5-10 ft strapless air than big dangly boost on a directional(which is also over rated). Been there done that with the strapped directional sitting on the beach, yet rarely used. Even when it's big, strap...

Re: Cymatic (Tomo MPH) in kiteconstruction?

In regards to Firewires: I would advise not use LFT or Rapid Fire technology for kite surfing (been there done that). The fin boxes did not hold for me, same for my friend. The kite-construction is very strong, but also pretty heavy(been there done that too). I've always used and prefer the FST stoc...

Re: Bridle Tags on a Cabrinha contra 15

Not totally sure, only speculating. I've heard the 15m Contra is a sweet light wind kite and may be the best size in the Contras. :thumb:

Re: First strapless ride on a surfboard - Diagnosis?

Use the fins of the surfboard as opposed to the edge to drive upwind. 1. Weight forward with more front foot pressure. Try to keep the board flat. 2. Drive your back knee towards your front leg using your hips. 3. Keep your kite low(45 ° or <) 4. Get a rope harness. You'll have much more range with ...
