Re: Ants and kites - no problem?

On a Kite trip to St Lucia one of the Kiters had ants get into her Kite bladder and they ate through it trying to get out creating tiny holes

Re: Wing + mountainboard

Although I Wing with a Mountainboard, SurfSkateboard, Hurricaneboard. The easiest, safest, is WingInline. I find seldom used roads or paved paths to Watertowers.
In the Winter we use Snowdecks (Bubba board).
All good practice for Wingfoil

Re: ROW (Right of Way) - show your intention

There was a collision last week (Windsurfer vs KiteSurfer) at the Reef break at Silver Rock Beach - Barbados. Story according to Windsurfer (also is a Kiter 20+ years experience). Windsurfer riding down wave (Starboard Tack) KiteSurfer (heading out on strapless surfboard) Windsurfer sees approaching...

The 2 nd Lifeguard did not look like as strong a Swimmer as the first Lifeguard. Why put 2 Lifeguards in when JetSki support was also coming? Always something to learn...

Re: Should wings have windows for safety reasons?

I prefer not to have Windows (may crack in cold temperatures). I will always buy a Wing without Windows if I have a choice. I only like Windows when I am InlineWinging on non-busy roads and I can check for oncoming vehicles. I always look Downwind before gybing and tacking and stay away from the cro...

Also happened to me on a large fresh water lake in the Fall (10 C air). Wind dropped whwn I was KBH 200 m from shore. I gathered my gear and was swimming back in to shore on my back. I heard sierens and thought there must be a fire near by. A Fire truck, ambulance drove on to the sand. A Marine resc...
