easy: tap the head and since you should have one hand on the Quick Release at launch and landing, immediately activate it with the other hand and walk towards your kite. Safe as can be. True, better to go with a fully powered kite thru people and cut their heads off.

Of course, having a leash attached to the Kiter is a must, so the kite does not fly away.

You have weight. This means you need power! Specially when you want to jump. With 12-20 knots /mph I advise to get a 12 and 16.
