Re: Ocean Rodeo Big Pump - Now Shipping

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this appears to be exactly the same as the new Core pump (and several others). No doubt all made in the same Chinese factory.

I've used the Core pump and it is very nice! I plan to buy one (of whatever brand name).

Re: North kiteboarding - bar

Okay, after reading the prior posts and as a self-proclaimed curmudgeon totally happy with his 2015 NKB Quad bar - I'm planning to order some more 2015 NKB bars before they're out-of-stock/discontinued and replaced with this new-fangled "latest/greatest" version. Don't need it - don't want it. I jus...

FYI - Apparently SS's new 2016 Sentinel bar uses a magnet - haven't seen it but that's what I'm told.

Re: switch bar v3

hello Faxie!! ok i can live with the colours but the crazy depower ball thing is dangerous when depowered flapping and causing tangles. can you suggest a good mod to overcome this? thanks!! It was a good idea theoretically  You could try a strap, like the V1. I'm not sure, but maybe a magnet ...

Re: Permits needed , to kite board Lake Mohave

I'm sure when some gov bureaucrat realized that the wind is free and people are making use of it they decided to put a stop to it - after all, there's "no free lunch" - right? Only a matter of time before all wind-users on the planet are taxed for their wind usage! Re the permit - exactly what is th...

Re: WARNING: Naish bar secretly wants to slash your face!

Is there enough material on the end of the bar ; to grind that pointy edge off ? Even if it's soft ; it would rip your skin Less, (if it was rounded off ). Bille Agree with Bille re the "pointy edges". That is bogus - no bar should have "pointy ends". Absolutely no reason for it - what were they th...

Re: North Neo 2014

Yes I think that could work although I think neoprene would be heavier than some additional ripstop patches. Personally I think the best solution would be to add the extra patches in the design, just like with the big patch near the onepump valve. Another solution could be to change the position of...

Re: current kite bag style

FWIW, I recently saw a post somewhere (sorry, don't remember where) where a guy supposedly described how to "wear" a kite when traveling by air. Yeah, sounds absurd to me too. Anyone else see this? Link?

Re: Los Barriles

Heading down to Ventana next week. Anyone down there can give some guidance on the wind forecast? Windfinder.com is saying basically calm until later in the week. I spend 5 months every season in the LaV campground. The reason the wind forecasts for LaV are generally low is because they don't accou...
