TBF the Phoenix sounds likes it's not for me. I have an 11 and 9m Pivot and love how fast and playful the kite is, the Phoenix looks slow turning. Definitely slower turning. Feels a bit more locked in as opposed to the Pivots turning speed playfulness. I've not been able to do the low draggy tricks...

I mean if you are looking at Naish kites, the phoenix works more like the edge, but still has the naish feel to it.

I personally love the 8m pivot, but the 9 phoenix is a jumper and super easy to control in high winds.

How about sending a shaka their way? I think there are different ways to show it but I think people will understand what you are trying to communicate as long as you are not showing them the finger.
