What new tricks to try?

Hi! I'm at a point in kiting where I started learing foiling and going wave riding. On the twintip I haven't put that much interest in trying new stuff. I went out the other day and added some angle/inversion to my frontrolls. What hooked in tricks (and maybe youtube vids) could I try learning which...

Re: First Foil

This will be a very subjective topic. Some people want to just foil, some will want to go as fast as possible. Some find it easy, some find it hard. Some learnt the hard way with full masts, others are happy on the medium mast. I took 2 lessons (with foil included in the price) to learn the basics a...

Re: Gopro line mounts. Camrig vs beastmount

I just threw my camrig in the trash after having my lines wrap around it for a third time. The safety risk + the pain in the ass of getting it on and off with the little rubber things makes it not worth it to me for a "real" session. Might be fine if all you do is cruise around or never crash your ...

Re: GoPro 5 black tips and tricks

my buddy also use the 5, he put on a case too so he can attach a floaty on the back door (also didn't trust the case that comes with). Main issue with 5 is that it doesn't have a Settings button on the side, only way to change setting is to swipe on screen... So once it's in the case with a backdoo...

Shoot 1080/60, just in case you want to slow down the video.
That's good advice! Not sure why I didn't do this before, I'm not sure the GP4 could do superview at 1080 and 60fps. I checked the GP5 and it sure does!

GoPro 5 black tips and tricks

Hi! I just got the GoPro5 black and was wondering a few things which you guys have probably figured out. One of the things I thought the GP5 would be better at is fogging, since it's waterproof without a case. I sort of chimped and didn't think about the fact that the camera has no mounting point an...

Re: Absolutely loving the North Click Bar!

Bar looks super clean but I can't see how adjusting only the outer lines would give enough power/depower range. Is there no cleat to adjust the center lines? No adjustment to the angle of the leading edge? I'd be much more willing to give it a try if it had both. . Trimming the kite involves changi...

Re: Cabrinha Fireball update

I like the Fireball. Is it a "game changer"? No. I disagree completely. It is a game changer! - Folks won't demo your kite anymore - nobody is going to ask to try uour harness - you don't have to ride unhooked anymore - anything goes wrong with your bar or harness and you can take break from kiting...

Re: Adapting North Click bar to other kite brands.

Danidr has lots of good info above and is mostly correct, but his information on backstalling may be misleading... Backstalling happens when you oversheet (pull the backlines so they become shorter than the front). Since the Click Bar, like the Cab bars, comes with all 4 lines equal length when ful...

Re: Adapting North Click bar to other kite brands.

Can't speak of your combo, but the V lines on cabrinha bars are quite low on the 2016 and 2017 models, so I guess you could try the open V setting on the click bar. As for the line lengths, the cabrinha bar is equal lengths on all 4 lines, so if the click bar on the open v setting is equal lengths a...
