Kitesurfing governed by skiing? Yeah that’s not a big leap is it... . . So then What YOUR involvement as you wanted to know mine? If u asking me, I am neutral in this conversation, not pro OG, at.al or against. But, I see what I see on this forum, and as anyone not to be taken personally or too ser...

Re: Kiteboarding is officially sailing, gets its own medal for Paris 2024

I wonder how would James react if kiting was taken over by skiing IOM committee? For sure "the biggest world stages and proudly represent thier country" is a valid point, but the same is that the world sailing will be paid big bucks and making the best deal. Do we really want't this? I wouldn't, and...

Flysurfer will provide 0.7mm lines if nicely asked for;)
Do you have a contact in FS for that ? I am interested.
I remember seeing discussion with some prices as well, can't find the link tho. Shoot an email to FS...

As I see it, the problem with that thickness are the line ends. I hate the FS solution, hence have a custom ones with thick ends just like any pigtail.

Evan, that's what I'm interested in. How do you guys make the line ends?

Re: Line strength for hydrofoiling ?

^ we discussing a HF riding, with no loops and 10m jumps, in very LW. U love looping? Buy a tick lines. U love racing, buy super thin lines, u are a pro anyway, no leash or safety. I'll repeat, most kiters never attempted to cut the line, not to mention different ones. Thin lines are easier to cut. ...

Re: Line strength for hydrofoiling ?

I have no idea how I'm surviving on a super thin custom lines and had 4 kites on one bar over last 2-3years. 200 sesh/year. Number of records on Woo for a given day, 60kg, never ever snapped a line. But sure, would drop as a rock when LE exploded, luckily was only launching. LE is good example coz i...

Re: Foil kites, removing sand from tip sewing?

Nope.

No go. It's on the clothing line already ;)

U see where the panel ends? That's where is sewn all the way.

I would need a micro vac, like a keyboard vac to solve this. I'll check my Sonic onMonday.

Re: Foil kites on shorter lines

Heh Duke, Welcome to a new challenge:) Btw, I just built my 2nd bar today for foiling. Super thin lines :) kidding :) would love to see your HL tho. But, strongly recommend using your sb a first few times. If it goes down, you will swim. If it goes down, it will take water, and if not drained well b...
