Re: Alternatives to Dwarfcraft 42" board

I'm liking my Nobile Shim foil. Nice length, good thickness under the front foot, decent amount of nose rocker, and a nice amount of flotation for my Zeeko White and Black foil. Just had an awesome strapless wave session on it. I don't have a scale but it is a bit heavier than my BRM Paipo. https://...

I'd post it in the classifieds on ikitesurf:

Re: Help picking first foil

I've been foiling since August and I'm very happy with my Zeeko White and Black. I learned with the Carver wing which made it a bit easier to get up on the foil. I switched to the Black wing as soon as I could foil through transitions.

Re: Adjustable straps that work recommendation

These are my favorite. I've been using them for many years. Loose enough for 7mil boots. http://www.northshoreinc.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=118&idcategory=107 For learning to hydrofoil I would recommend a single foot hook on the front. Other than the cost I really like these: http://www.nor...

Re: Learning to foil- strapped or strapless

For me learning with 2 straps was very sketchy. During my first session I tweaked my ankles a few times. After the first session I went with a loose single front strap. After a few more sessions I switched to a single front hook which I liked the best. 8 months into foiling I'm still using the singl...

Re: Ozone 4m uno for a high wind hydrofoiling?

I have not found the top end of my 4m Cloud but only had it out up to about 30 knots on the HF. Not sure when I would need a smaller kite. But I'm really surprised by the low end of the 4m with the HF.

I can ride my 4m underpowered when my friends are powered on 8m kites.

Re: Ozone 4m uno for a high wind hydrofoiling?

I've been logging a decent number of hours on my 4m Cloud in 20 to 30 knots on the HF this winter. The 4m has a great power spike to get you out of the water and up on a plane but is small enough not to be overpowered when up and riding. I'd say a 4m or smaller is a must have size for windy locations.

Re: New Zeeko Alloy Foil Green White

Hi max, Being a foiling beginner I could not figure out exactly why I liked the a Black wing better but that is the exact "problem" with the Carver wing. It has too much lift in the turns making it harder to carve a nice turn for a beginner. For a beginner it is perfect to learn to foil in a straigh...

Re: New Zeeko Alloy Foil Green White

I''m 5 months into foiling. First 2 months were on the Black and White foil with the stock wings. Next 3 months on the Carver wing. Now that I'm foiling through my transitions and falling only a few times per session I decided to put the Black wing back on. Rode for 3 hours on the Black wing today a...

Re: New Zeeko Alloy Foil Green White

Hi Bragnouff,

I'm 5'8". With the single front hook in the forward position I'm effectively riding strapless once up on the board. My feet have naturally found the position centered on the inserts. Only been foiling for 5 months so my stance might change with time.
