Re: Wear on pigtail ends

10 meters (>30 feet) is standard height of diving board. On a bad day a diver enters the water in all kinds of awkward splash. Whereas with 3 remaining lines you would still have a parachute over your head. And if you wear impact vest there is nothing to worry about. Kite going out of control would...

Re: Wear on pigtail ends

...You don't want to get dropped from 30 feet ... Most likely you wont. Because at the apex of the jump the lines support your body weight only (and probably even less than that). The most tension on the lines is when lifting from the water. Wouldn't be surprised if it is more tension compared to k...

Wear on pigtail ends

Hi fellow kiters!!! Is this wear normal/acceptable on the pigtail, where the front lines connect to the kite? I don't see this wear in my older bar, but also I'm doing more jumping and looping on the new one, so I guess I'm putting more stress on this part of the line. My question is if it's time to...

Re: Just got free surfboard. Inserts? Straps?

Go 1-2 kite sizes less than you normally would go out with, that's quite a big board and will be overpowered easily if you go with to much kite.

Re: Problem with 2016 Trimlite security/flag line

Yep... you may want to contact your dealer where you got the bar, I don't think this issue is something you can ignore and keep continue using the bar once the wear is significant. The knot can break any time you release the kite, or if it breaks without releasing, that front line will go through th...

Re: Problem with 2016 Trimlite security/flag line

Hey, I checked my bar out today and I have only used this for 4 sessions and 2 of them were very short. Pulled the QR 2 time to see how the system works. I believe the wear is coming from the black piece that is keeping the tension on the front line?????? It does not look like this is going to last...

Re: Problem with 2016 Trimlite security/flag line

BTW, i did notice this the first time I used the bar (new), since I tested the flagging system. I noticed something getting stuck and then releasing, didn't give it much thought as It was very lightwind (some 11kts). With continues wear and higher winds I guess if the knot breaks while releasing you...
