Re: 17m kite Overkill

Mine is wakeskating with a 17m BRM C2 I owned a 17m C2 for years and I can't imagine how you could keep upwind on it with a wakeskate, it was hard enough with a surfboard. Props if you can make it work though. These days I ride an OR Flite 17m in 9-20 knots, I weigh 75 kg / 165 lbs. Dunno what woul...

Re: rear line adjusters for bar

Very interesting. I assume you wanted to have this on both sides. But with a system to connect both rear lines inside the bar tube (like in the Kauper Bar, I have done in my DIY bars also) you could also have it only on one side and adjust both rear lines at the same time. - Tom Yeah, one on each s...

Re: Bars with a long depower throw (60 cm)?

One thing I don't get about you guys who get rid of the chicken loop and just have a release, is that you wind up putting a spacer above the release anyway. Some use knots, and some just have a fixed extra distance to make up for where the chicken loop would be. Everyone I have asked in person abou...

Re: Peel-ply finish

Peel Ply is textured so the finish will never be perfect I mean a nice uniform textured surface... It can be done, I have seen it... I've done 5 wakeskates with the peel-ply finish only. As you know, it gives good grip. My boards use bright and colourful graphics, so if there are imperfections they...

Complicated and not needed at all. Lofting is not the concern. Crashing is.

Solve hard crashing and thats it.
Agreed. There are many sports where education is the biggest difference between it being acceptably safe or not.
