Re: North Neo 12M as light wind kite

The 2015 Dyno compared to the 2015 Neo.......... The Neo turns just a little bit faster, but not as much as you would think. The Dyno is a amazingly fast turner for being a high aspect ratio kite. The Neo will relaunch easier. To relaunch a Dyno in light wind you have to use the 5th line option, but...

Spotz 2 mast angle

I'm building my own board for my Spotz2 foil. When gluing in the Tuttle box.

What should the angle ( fore and aft ) of the mast be compared to the bottom of the board ?

Re: North Juice 15m vs Dyno 15m relaunch

Would be a good test, but my guess is the 15 Juice would win. The Dyno would definitely have to have the 5th line attached to even be close. The new North " Mono "12m probably would be the best, but it's only a 12 so the Juice 15 would be preferable once in the air. It's all trade offs. The Dyno wou...

Re: 16m North Rebel vs 15m North Juice

The Juice will relaunch better than a Rebel in very light winds, but the Rebel will jump and hang better. The best choice is the 2015 Dyno. Being lighter than a Rebel it'll relaunch better, but you'll have to use the 5th line option for light wind. The Dyno will out jump a Rebel in light winds and w...

Re: Rebel vs Neo high wind kite.

get the 5m Neo.......it's better to be a little big. Being a little too small makes the kite twitchy and less fun. At 190 lbs you should be able to handle a 5m well into the thirties.

Re: How will kite flag out if single line breaks

What would happen if you quickly cut ( you do carry a knife, right ?) the rear line from the same side as the broken front line, wouldn't the kite then flag ?

Re: Spotz 2 Still the fastest !

I personally saw Nico's "white shark" and I was told Joey went back to the "2" by reliable sources.

Re: Explain it like im 5: Pros/Cons 5 line and 4/6 line

I'm curious too, but my guess is the 6 line setup is how they support the leading edge without the loaded 5th line, which can wrap around the kite, from time to time, if you're crashing a lot....... The 6 line setup probably works like a 4 line setup with more support for the LE. Just a guess..........
