Re: GoPro line mounts

Here's someone else that posted a very simple design on Shapeways. I've used that company before. Anyone can order one made based on a design posted on their website. GoPro Max Kite Line Mount v1.0 ShapewaysGoPro2.png I like the way he has the line brackets set at an angle so the rider isn't going t...

Re: GoPro line mounts

I'm probably going to have to add arms to my design, too. But I can glue them on. I just bought a high temperature hot glue gun that works with HDPE. Not sure how I will make them.

Re: GoPro line mounts

Awesome! How long does it take you to CNC it? I've had a Harbor Freight Mini Mill sitting in the garage for years but I've mostly just used it as a drill press. I have no idea how to use it as a mill but always wanted to convert it to a CNC. Never bothered because it's just more money and time. The...

Re: GoPro line mounts

Nice! :thumb: To save rigging time you may want to consider making the cutout for the instant record button finger accessible. I found it a bit of a hassle mounting the screw and nut between the small spaces. Having to press record and then mounting it would require you to bring a scrwedriver and w...

Re: GoPro line mounts

I decided to ditch the Sketchup model and do it all on my X-Carve's Easel software. This online utility lets me simply design my toolpath directly, and it does curved shapes much better. GoProMaxLineMount.png This is another practice cut out of expanded PVC. I think I'm going to do the HDPE today. 2...

Anyone know the most secure way to fit a helmet mount? I have the gopro mount which came in the box but i dont want to rely on the self adhesive pad.
Could i use a stronger glue perhaps?
I usually add some additional glue, either epoxy or some rubber or silicone based glue.

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

On video screenshot you see the problem, you cannot do mount like that if you want 100% clean picture. Camera should be laying in same directions are lines to make it float in the air without visible mount, like my Insta One X 360 mount. This totally invisible in camera video. I know the rider is a...

Re: GoPro line mounts

Great work! Going with the oval shape? Maybe I'll try that again. I was also thinking of making the line holes angled: \ / instead of | | That may put less wear on the lines and keep the camera angle straight. The oval shape lets me put the lines farther apart, so I can move the camera farther from...

Re: GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Sorry, just went off on a tangent there. I realized you were talking about CNC but started looking into the plastic you mentioned and if there were benefits for printing it. Should be easy to CNC this design. One could probably even make one from just PVC pipes. :D I think it may be a good idea to ...

GoPro line mounts

I am working on a CNC cut line mount for my GoPro Max. I've been using the Ugo line mount, and its not that great for the Max. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/91bFKrEGP4L._AC_SX425_.jpg I have to put the MAX in the Ugo mount at a bit of an angle, so its not pointed at me quite right...
