Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

The clips you posted indicate marxist political activity. I've never come across it myself but what's the problem with it ? Why wouldn't there be a marxist students federation ? Or a capitalist student federation ? Marxism is basically a failed political ideal as (I think) you said. History seems t...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

what??? Where is your data on that? I have no idea what university you went to or how many you are personally familiar with but there is no Marxist bent to the ones I attended. Nor at the one in my home town. I have visited most in my country and from my limited understanding of the culture at each...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

... I'm pretty sure Occam's razor would dictate that a world wide diffusely organized conspiracy by the world's academics is rather less plausible than say the insidious use of disinformation to sew confusion and doubt by deep corporate pockets with a vested interest in the status quo... Is that wh...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

{long rant deleted for lack of any substantive content} Calling people deniers and never answering their actual arguments doesn't make you seem like a reasonable, rational human being concerned about scientific evidence. I deny nothing. I am questioning the hysterical alarmism of people blaming eve...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

I'm not at all sure that "almost nobody denies that there has been warming". I've understood the implication of many of Marlboroughman's posts to be that there is no global warming, I don't understand what else the point of posting them was if not that. It should be a question of statistics not opi...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

Ok, I understood from your previous post you were implying that the majority of relevant scientists does not believe in man made global warming, they are just keeping quiet. So you don’t give a ̶f̶u̶ polar bear what the majority thinks. I assume the answer to my question is that you've personally l...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

Anyone notice what the deniers did there? They compare number of deaths and number of buildings burnt when property and people protection is far more sophisticated today than it was in the past. The key metric is area burnt, which is over 2 million hectares and summer has only just begun. Yes, 1973...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

You mean the glaciers? Glaciers move because of the weight at the top. More snow coming down means they become more top heavy, which forces the ice below to move. "As a glacier thins, due to the loss of mass it will slow down and crevassing will decrease." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glacial_moti...

Re: climate change /unpredictable weather/wind

Hey Longwhitecloud, Before you go thanking Saul for his collection of videos, consider the source. In the opening of the wiki on the Heartland institute: In the 1990s, the Heartland Institute worked with the tobacco company Philip Morris to attempt to discredit the health risks of secondhand smoke ...
