Re: naish kite boards - need some info

sle kite or torch3 for surfing? My friend use the BoXer SLE (The ShockWave is not here yet.) and i use the T3... I you have very hard conditions use the SLE, else the T3 is the best, especially if you go unhookt.. The T3 is by far the best kite, but in very difficult situations it is easier on the ...

Hi, well I have never used the 145, I bought it on ebay, I didn't think I would get it so I got the 06 from the store. I have ad the 06 out twice. Never in waves though. I am still getting used to it. It feels very nice, but I still have test it in more winds. Its been fairly light. I can say the bo...

Next time I am in Oahu you should coach me on my jumps, but I think I was doing alright on the Boxer. ;) They were very high jumps and hung very long. I have seen the local team guys and they send the kite far too, they usually just kiteloop it back in front of them to account for it. Like I said t...

Dax, great you tried both. Good feedback, but a few comments I do have...as usual. I think the sliding turns is something you can modify on the boxer by changing settings on the pigtails. Also, if you do crank it hard for the transition, I have not noticed any significant sliding, in fact it flips a...

Vk, yeah, well I guess the depreciation of was actually 220 (I paid $650 for the kite) however as the kite was very lightly used...two days of kiting, and $400 was the most I ever was offered for the kite..even immediately after I got it, I am happy with what I got for it. I also of course hope the ...

Re: food for thought

maybe in the end companies stop making c kites because nobody buys them. The pro's must ride custom made kites to keep competing. It is what happened to slalom snowboarding on hardboots as wel. At that time kiting will become olympic as well and the competitots will do a sport that has nothing to d...

Lutch, you're probably right on that with the beginner trying kites, but I do think that unless you're a super human ;-) like ScottM, going for a high aspect kite, as your first kite, makes it harder to learn. I took out a friend on my high aspect Nemesis, the kite just didn't want to fly at all, it...

Damn.... tautologies got to you first, pimping the Naish!! I'd say go for the SLE/bow type kites personally as they are just more forgiving. I don't know anything about the M80, but if it's a SLE or hybrid, it should work well for learning! Well, I didn't mean it that way, and I do thi...
