Re: how long does it take for kite canopy to show signs of use?

That is depressing. Definitely shouldn't be like this. Pin holes can be a bit random, but the other stuff isn't good. My Enduros are over 3 years old now and except for parts of the leading edge on the 12m looks a bit "greyish" rather than pure black - you almost couldn't tell they aren't close to ...

I definitely take the cold temperatures into account. I mostly ride the coldest days at the safest spot near me thats shallow, and you don't ride too far from land.
Me too. :thumb:

. Below 6 C air temp starts to get unappealing.
Agree. If my fingers with gloves on still go numb (and that's in about 5-6C) then I can't be arsed. Would instead rather wrap up warm and ride my FS MTB.

Re: Mystic Hard Shell Harnesses Durability

My Mystic Majestic X harness cracked as did my regular kitesurfing buddy's, and our local shop were told that they (Mystic) hadn't seen this before. Seems that it certainly had been seen before. Both harnesses were replaced by Mystic so no complaints, and the new harnesses are definitely stiffer and...

Re: quiverBuilder spreadsheet

Nice effort but wind power is not linear. Power is to the square of speed . Hence you need bigger gaps for large kites and smaller gaps for small kites. There is a huge difference between a 6 and a 8. Much more than between 12 and 14. Depending on spot i regularly see quivers of 6/7/9/12/17. I,m 90...

Re: Lieuwe boards

You and I are more or less the same height and weight. What conditions are you typically riding? Here in Bermuda, there is usually a fair bit of chop, and I’m a bit wary of the 136 v the 138 for mid-to-high wind days (same speeds you referenced). I’m just curious if you have any insight given you a...

Re: A question about a new harness pain

Today I bought the size Medium of the Apex based on the seller recommendation. I’m usually around 100KG and my height is 1.80 I also have a really wide waist.. Without knowing any more, it is very unlikely that 1.80m, 100kg, and a "really wide waist'" is Medium . If you are "pear shaped" and the ha...

Re: quiverBuilder spreadsheet

The 1.33 multiplier works just fine, start with your smallest kite and use the multiplier.

For example:

7m x 1.33 = 9.31m (9m)

9m x 1.33 = 11.97m (12m)

12m x 1.33 = 15.96 (16m)
