Re: Hot coat hints and tips

I just finished my first hot coat. Watched a lot of video's and followed the procedure that TomW wrote in this topic (withouth the degassing). Unfortunately I end up with a lot of dry spots. It is mainly on the painted areas, so I assume these are not completely levelled. Next to that I have some t...

Re: Site specific rules

Theses threads always make me laugh. Show up... just plough though everyone shouting starboard! Always goes down well. Finish off by getting your world rules handbook out and underlining the rule that applies. I’ll give another couple of examples I can think of A port tack trick session. Trying to g...

Re: Seaspiracy - documentary

i really feel for those where their local food has been wiped out by fishing on a scale few understand. where you cannot see what is happening- the very worst of human greed is occurring.

Re: Now that is fully sending it. Wow.

That is true. Being the best rider or being transparent has less and less to do with sponsorship these days. Only he can answer why he didn’t show it was a tow when it is a new concept and most people would have no idea that it was towed? I don’t even know if they were all tows. Views / exposure bec...

Re: Wing foil any relation to kiteboarding?

Going out over waves is easy like kiting. You can get lift from the wing, not nearly so much with a sail. Combination of wing and foil makes getting through big waves really easy compared with wind surfing. I've not kite foiled but normal kiteboarding is similar with the lift but having the foil li...

Re: Now that is fully sending it. Wow.

Reminds me of his Ocean cleanup journey promotion video while holding a Red Bull can... better than a plastic bottle but we all know the truth is that non reusable containers/ packaging are the biggest problem and his $ponsor was clearly more important than the message. No idea if these were all tow...

Re: Death Loop - Risk Highly Reduced W/ New Bar Designs

i tested this for years - in middle of teaching kiting - i just go "activate the quick release you are about to get dragged head first into a rock wall!" For some - no problem - others I just get a blank stare. I already showed them how to use the QR. Many explain they were scared to release the kit...

Re: New 5 Strut Aluula: should Ocean Rodeo make a big air kite for boosting, old-school, airstyle?

It always has to come down to the money. In this case, I’m just a dude who likes learning fast and water time because it is fun. When I’m kiting, I like knowing equipment is gonna further me durning my short little ride on the planet. I like the right tool for the job. Even better is a multi tool t...

Re: Death Loop - Risk Highly Reduced W/ New Bar Designs

In high winds you should have your hand on the qr when you are launching always. Your leash should not be attached to harnesses designed by absolute kooks.. ie harness with a back attachment, side only. This is because you will not be able to reach the leash at when it is deathlooping you at Mach 10...
