Weed Fins for Airush Sector..

I had an opportunity to demo my friends Airush Sector 60 V1. After riding the board in varying conditions from 9-13 knots (Airush 12 m Lithium) to 18-20 knots (Airush 9 m Lithium) I now understand the Sector's popularity. It's a unique fun board. I primarily ride surfboards (Airush Cypher 5'6 - Nais...

Re: Naish pivot kite, what bar can i use ?

@ use of any 4 line bar. Some say it's affected whether the "Y" is high or low. Other's say it's doesn't matter. Perhaps this doesn't relate to kites, but in windsurfing: constant curve mast and sail compatibility...Turned out not all supposed "constant curve" masts worked the same and had an effect...

Re: Kitesurfing in Decline?

Great points by everyone! While Kiteboarding is still growing from what I see season to season, like all things it's reaching it's maturity. I remember just barely a decade ago, the beaches were paved rig to rig and dominated by windsurfers. Kites were showing up more and more, but in the minority. ...

Re: Wave kite

Hi guys, Any good recomendation on wave kites? I have been riding the air rush litium on sizes 6 and 8. It is a good kite for a lot of wind but I was wondering if I can try something more agressive and with more instant response when I am on ligther winds. Like a size 10 kite. The litium is a bit s...

Re: Having a Naish Kite? Hopefully, you never need spare par

Having the same issue with Airush...Need a replacement for a section of line (multiple line lengths on the the bar) and replacement for the depower line. After taking weeks to get back to me, they recommended someone online to fabricate the parts I need. From a consumer's standpoint, we spend thousa...

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

2015 North Whip - Firewire Vanguard counterpart? A friend was trying out the 2015 North Whip (don't know which size). I got to ride it on a couple runs. The conditions were 18-25 mph, onshore winds with lots of shore break and three foot mushy waves. Immediate impression, it planed up quickly, was s...

Re: 2nd surfboard recommendation

I'm 154 lbs and had the same question a season ago. My smaller "high wind" board is a 2010 5'7 naish global. Like the north kontact, it's relatively narrow. Smooth and controlled it's perfect for high winds and chop. Goes upwind nicely. Can be used in lighter conditions as well, but my airush cypher...

Re: Is purchasing a surfboard a good way to recover... ?

When I started kiting, I switched off between the twin and the surfboard. I figured since I "sucked" either way I mine as well experience the learning curve simultaneously. Three seasons later and I enjoy both but definitely lean toward riding the surfboard more often. The surfboard in some ways is ...

Re: Airush 2015 Range Now Online

Nice review John B & Ocean Extreme Sports. Thanks! @ John-B "– as an all-rounder it works better than the 9m Wave and that is saying something." I have both the 9 m Wave and a 9 m Lithium, referring to them as my small and big 9 m. I bought the 2013 Airush 9 m Wave and really like it, no actually I ...

Re: If you used to windsurf.......

Windsurfed for twenty plus years. Sure if you push it, doing either one is very physical, but in general kiting is less so. I can last hour after hour riding a 6 meter kite in thirty plus winds. Windsurfing is more exhausting in the same conditions, and your either all on or off. With a kite you can...
