Re: Board restoration

Ok. Channge of plans....it will be better to just make multiple spot repairs with epoxy resin and glassfiber powder. First I would repair the surfaces top and bottom sheets and then the aereas near the rails. All the spots have to be well grinted 80 grit..or 100 and well cleaned. Tru to make the epo...

Re: Board restoration

Ive meant epoxy won't stick to the topsheet on top of it. It sticks only on bottom of topsheet coz it's corona treated. No idea how rails are bonded, every brand is different. Some are pouring PU into the core, etc. If the bottom is done from corals, well, that's it. :D If the bottom is done from c...

Re: Board restoration

And the solution is...forget the graphics and save just the core...so you will need to pill off the top and bottm sheets...and then if you are lucky and no fiberglass is not taken out....then slightly grind both surfaces...and then as you say apply fiberglass and epoxy and better use abs as botoom a...

The paints will need to be probably pigmented epoxy and then within time limits to paint over?? SO probably not.... -Grit with 80 gr/m2 withour reaching the glass fiber....difficult......

Re: New Twins - Twin Tip Kiteboard Under Construction

Which issues? :) Do you see me flaming? :) The process you see is what it is, the rails are sanded a bit before. I challenge anyone to do it faster and more feasible , cleaner, etc etc. ;) You can do 1,2,3 with PU. Actually, the epoxy is brittle. The elongation break for epoxies (cheap ones), is wa...

Re: Forces on a twintip
