Look at http://www.stuntkites.nl at the servaas 5. There is a description of a plywoodboard of 4 x 3.6 mm plywood. Have built several according this methode, but put one layer 160 gr glass on the bottom for extra strength. EdDy_DiFfusivity, Were you to at Tenerife last week? I was there to, at an or...

Joel, If you give your flat board a rounded outline and rounded tips, it also works a bit like rocker. Trial, error, better. I have built several boards out of plywood. Good for cheap (one sheet of plywood costs 10.50 Euro) boardbuilding, but like my sandwich boards more because of the weight. Thoug...

Paragliders and kites are trimmed at a different way. If you look at the profile when the kite and paraglider are horizontal in the air, the profile of a kite is pointed a little bit up and the profile off a paraglider is pointed a little bit down. So IF you should want to use the kite for paraglidi...

What you can do is drill a large hole (15 mm diameter) in the deck for each place you need an insert. Also scratch some of the foam away under the laminate around the holes. Fill the hole with epoxy which has been mixed up with glass bubbles. Be sure the epoxy also gets under the deck where you scra...

Thanks Jordanis. Stripbuiltboard was the first methode for me to build a kitesurfboard. Made two of them. After these I made 3 plywoodboards. A lot easyer and cheaper but a little heavy. Now have made 5 boards out of Core-cell/glass/epoxy. And like it because of its weight and easy to make sharp rai...

After putting a foto of my stripbuiltboard I got some questions about how to make such a board. Because the description off this board on http://www.stuntkites.nl/kiteboards/nopsboard/nopsboard.html is in Dutch which is a problem for most people on this forum, I try to explain it here in Englisch an...
