I was chatting to someone the other day who constructed a kite with an aspect ratio of 12. It was 16 metres long and maximum wing (chord)width of 1.3metres, It looked like a ribbon in the sky.
Also look at the farc 1600 it has a ratio of 7.5 and is way thinner than an x 10.
the x 10 does not look like that at all, so how did they arrive with that figure, seems either they have a strange way of measuring or it's marketing bs...... whats the story then ideas?

X10 don't mean an AR of 10 just like X2 doesn't mean AR of 2 I think

Hmmmm, yeah apparenly you're right guys, I just checked the naish kites page and this is what it says about the X10
The X10 represents a new kiteboarding benchmark in terms of ultimate lift and hang time. An aspect ratio of 10, eleven 3D struts, and 130 shaping panels for those who need to own the ultimate… and are good enough to ride it! This is no beginner kite, and in the hands of a skilled and experienced rider, the X10 offers the ultimate performance.
Sizes: 12.0, 18.0
