Kite sizes used: 16 (or bigger), rarely a 12

The air is thinner in 1800m and therefore you use bigger kites.

Winds around: 10-20 knots, mostly 12-15 knots.

Thermal winds start after 12:00 and last until sunset. The thermal wind usually works only when there is NO northern, eastern or western wind that can kill the thermal wind. Southerly directions support the thermal wind.

Silvaplana is a magical place with its view to the luxurous hotels in St. Moritz, world-famous ski-resort.

I'm usind a semidry 5/3 suit. But a 4/3 wetsuit should be ok. A shorty is even too cold in summer time (in my opinion).

Water is only up to 15 degrees then.
