September is the start of spring here in the southern Hemisphere so in a lot of places Thermals will be starting to form. Also the huge temp difference between the Antarctic and the equator at that time of year causes strong westerly winds to blow through the mid latitudes of the southern hemisphere. Last year spring blew and blew here in Auckland, not sure if it'll do the same this time round but it shouldn't be too bad. If you want heaps and heaps of wind then Wellington's not a bad spot.
Anyway where are you from? Are you from the Pacific?

Tauranga cold... during summer?? Yikes you do feel the cold. Well it's probably best you don't come down during September that's for sure...
All this weight I've put on is making me think it's hot at the moment, not to mention my 4 layers of clothing I've currently have on.
