Mail eric directly on eric@catapultkiteboarding.co.za and you will probably get a faster response. Not sure if he comes to kiteforum.com

that ring is a cheat!!!!!!!!! why use one, you can do a bar pass without using your hands!!!! why do a bar pass if you miss out on the thing that makes them cool, letting go of your kite and doing some damage, or at least stacking and breaking something, if we use these everyone will be doing slim chances and we will all be pussies

I think they are pretty good for practice, particularly if you don't have someone who can fetch your kite every time it blows 10 miles down the beach.

Its also better if there are women kids etc anywhere down beach as even if there is safety distance, a runaway kite isn't safe.

I kknow some guys use trampolines to get the feeling of being inverted and doing twists. This is simply a way of doing it out on the water, with a bit of help.

When you have it down to an artform, you can start using it without the ring.
