Yes the Naish UDS has been out for a long time. I bought mine last November. There has already been plenty of discussion on this topic so do a search for UDS as PAFF says.

The bottom line is that the UDS works well but isn't for everyone. I personally prefer to use the Naish SSS system.

a movable stopper does the job as well, and even better, since you can adjust it to everything you want, very cool!

e.g. http://www.x-shooter.cpm (Masterpiece bar).

Just took UDS off my 55cm bar the other day, put standard chicken loop on.

I was stoked at first with it because of the versatility. It allows you to ride hooked in with a little bit of sheeting, or unhooked with a lot of sheeting control. Being able to ride unhooked without going to full power is nice.

The 200% depower thing is BS, and I find my newer kites don't require nearly as much sheeting as it provides to go to full depower.

Another problem is my arms grew tired much more quickly and I found my self riding in a stretched out position all the time. I think this could be fixed with some adjustments, and I hear Naish is going to fix it and release another version of UDS. However I am a bit weary of spending another $130 dollars when I got one almost brand new sitting in my closet.

Maybe I will take a knife to it and see if I can fix it myself.

:-?
