Hi all,
I wonder where good holiday beginners spots are in italy. We are looking for a camping site and kitespot as nearly to each other as possible. 1 person only has hold a kite for a few days, so staying upwind wont work. The spot should be be knee deep for a few hundred meters, and have relative constant wind. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Joost

Hello,
you could consider going to Tuscany. There are some pretty nice areas (Follonica, Castiglione, Grosseto, Talamone) which are suited for beginners. Especially the beach between Castiglione and Marina d. Grosseto is about 15 km long, so kiting upward is no big issue, in fact it's easy to learn there.
The only problem is that in summer the beaches in Italy are packed, and kiting is usually restricted to a few spots, so be sure to get in contact with the locals or schools before the "Captenaria" gets in contact with you.
HTH, John
