Wipika goes direct...

Postby gumball » Wed Mar 16, 2005 1:58 am

So Wipika goes direct...

Maybe Shannon, Jeff & I had a good idea...

Thanks to Wipika, the first kiteboarding company, for validating the Best business model (like it needed it...) Hopefully in the near future, no kiter will have to pay $1,200 for a 12m kite made of Dacron & Tejin rip-stop

Best of luck Wipika! Nice move. I think you will help expand the industry, bring prices down and boost sales for everyone.

Alex,

It is nice when you're proved right but this is not quite up to
the normal professional level of your communications on this
forum, IMO. A kind of public "I told you so!"

Hey can I say "I told you so" too? ... phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=96061&highlight=#96061

:D

Btw, the Naish store is from their actual store in Hawaii, it is a separate company than Naish Kiteboarding. Don't know about Caution.

well, it will be interesting to see if any of the companies that put these up experience much success with them. You need to put in place procedures to deal with customers effectively over the web, and have a suitable site. best and windwing have sites that work well - they are content rich, updated regularly and allow users to interact with people from the company effectively (eg bests video section, windwings forums, skype messaging on both sites). this doesn't come cheap - im looking forward to seeing wipikas response :thumb:

Streetwalker professionalism?

Constantly flaunt your norks at the passing traffic. Reel in any likely punters with direct eye contact then suck up to make them feel like "valued customers". Distract interest in the competition by claiming the bitch down the road learnt her technique from you but she'll charge you more. NAIL THE SALE. Cash in hand. Have a smoke and fly around a while, then get back to business.

All praise the revolutionary best "business model" and may venture capitalism "boost sales" for all (yeah right ;)).

Like waterlevel kiteboarders could give a f*** about business models (we buy any frickin kite we want)!! The business elite, on the other hand, may offer praise for value adding bits of Dacron & Tejin rip-stop.

In the good old days Gun Sails was using the same revolutionary business model....
