Ram Airs CRASH at PKRA Germany 2008

Postby Pump me up » Tue Sep 02, 2008 2:37 am

Well girls,

The German leg of the 2008 PKRA has concluded.

It's interesting to note that RAM AIRS CRASHED IN EVERY DISCIPLINE & EVERY EVENT.

Despite the ridiculous, overhyped claims of the Flysurfer crew at the start of competition, Flysurfer was an embarrassment in every competition format. Considering Germany is Flysurfer's base, this is even more of an indictment.

A full record, including Flysurfer's embarrassing failures, can be found at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2351014

Checkout some of Flysurfer's proud boasts about how they were dominating the German PKRA 2008 at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2350795 In retrospect, a complete joke!

Also, checkout the ridiculous claims made by Flysurfer regarding Sebastian Bubmann at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2344198&view=previous or Armin Harich's supposed dominance of course racing at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2350380&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

We all remember the RIDICULOUS chest-beating ram lovers carried on with after Sebastian Bubmann's minor victory in course racing at the German PKRA in 2006. They're still trying to dine out on this 2 years later.

Ignore the lies. Ignore the exaggerations. Ram airs are aerodynamically inferior compared to inflatables. It is proven every day at your local beach and reinforced in competition results. NO ram airs have won a SIGNIFICANT competition EVER. They are just too slow..... too aerodynamically inferior.

Hey ,

They definitely sucked so bad, that a lot of normal Tube riders where borrowing them to give the others a chance  !!!!! LOL

Considering that Ron Reimers was using a Silver Arrow instead of a North Kite. That makes

5 of the Top Ten using Ram Air kites.

Who is this Ron Reimers? Never heard of him in 6 years of kiteboarding... ok maybe hi is very important at your beach... neverless hi could take a winter foil from North, which are not any worse than FS kites.

Not that unusual for a Lithuanian I'd say...

I'd venture not 2 out of 2,000 could even point out Lithuania on a map...

sort-a not so surprising when you consider from where you hail......

No biggie

glad PMU is still getting some play here though...

I must have been mising episodes here because i just can't understand what's the big deal with the hole ram airs vs inflatos thing.
I mean does it really matter? Ride what you want and have fun.
I ride inflatos and i have never riden a flysurfer or peter lynn but i must say i am interested to try one just to see the diferense in flying from an inflato.
In my spot nobody rides ram airs, not because nobody likes them but because there is no dealer here and we are thinking that it might be difficult to handle any damages to the kites.
