I don't own a Griffin but have flowed a few of them and they are AWESOME. Christian has really out done himself for the new 09 griffin.

Looks great. the performance of the08 model was fantastic. I have been reliable informed by a few of the test pilots , to expect even more from the 09 model. Notably , even beter low end (the 08s where good enough i thought), and great unhooked riding.

We are very excited about testing them in the UK.

Prices and preordering for the Uk and ireland will be up soon

They are super awesome kites, and the pricepoint is unbelievable. Griffin Kiteboarding will sure make a huge impact in the market. The kites have arguably the best value right now, top quality materials, plus excelent performance. Its certainly pushing the industry in a positive way.Think $300-$600 in savings when compared to most other competirors .

This superb price point is possible mostly due to their flat structure:
"Griffin kites are shipped from the factory to you or your nearest distributor, concentrating on quality and customer service. What you are paying for in some other brands includes shipment via factory > warehouse > distributor > retailer with extra expenses in multiple shipment costs, extra duty and clearance costs, extra markups as the kites change hands and expensive marketing campaigns. Our flatter structure keeps that extra money in your pockets. Go spend it on more gear or a kiting adventure!"

Regarding the bar, we are super stoked on the new look and system!!
I cant release much info right now, but in matter of days and all will be released.

New bar features:
Shorter below the bar
Quick release safety release. Push-away.
Self-righting orientating chickenloop for unhooked riding
Chicken loop seats in bar when riding unhooked to provide rigidity
Kook Proof connections

Heres a sneak peak photo for those urging to see the new look: (note: not the final design)

Hi -andre-,
The upcoming freestyle kite will be a C shape. We are super stoked on this kite. Please be sure to check out this topic :
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2351609&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

All design info about the new kite is there. Please comment on what you would like to see on it, we are hearing everyones responses and all will clearly influence the final design. Prototypes will be ready in a couple of weeks, we'll be working tons on tweaking, testing and redesigning the shape. We will realease a C that'll definitely push the envelope and have all those characteristic the performance riders need and asked for.

keep an eye out for this new C kite!

good winds!
