Wait! maybe one of you leaf blower owners(gas) ought to pump up the kite however(who cares How) and leave the leaf blower on you back and shoot the air somehow @ the kite so you can self blow-propel yourself on no wind days!
this should be experimented with on land i think first ice or pavement offer the least resistance!
oh and that guy about volume blowers being no good for pressure applications has got a very good point and is in my correct opinion absolutely right

Leaf "blower sucks" for tube kites....however if you want to launch a Flysurfer 21M in really light wind from a location where there is no wind flow at ground level ( high bushes etc) it works to fill it up by shooting air through one of the trailing edge "dump valve"....Not enough PSI for tubes but plenty PSI for foils

Sounds like something Wile E. Coyote might try.

Screw the electric options. I wanna know if this lil baby would work. Aparently it moves serious volume and can pump bike tires ups to mega psi.
Its tiny and you dont have to bend over while working it.
Anyone tried one?

bummer,
The concept sounds good. A pull cord to an internal fan but needs a valve to stop backflow. Give it a solid housing and a decent bearing, maybe a screen filter to keep out sand and it should be workable.
Maybe someday, until then I'll stick with my standard pump.
