What is the windiest and warmest place to kite in the world?
if you could go anywhere to live and kite where would it be?
the reason i ask is that i was looking at visiting maui over the summer but it seems the variety of riding/launching places is limited and it can be quite gusty.
is there anywhere else that is as consistent/warm with flat/clearwater and waves than maui/HI?

That's a difficult question, and you wont find a warm place in the world with a 100% wind/kite guarantee.
I lived in North Queensland/Australia (12°South) before. During the dry season the thermometer could go down to 15°C at night (too cold for me) but the wind was blowing from 10AM onwards. During the wet season the temperature was perfect day and night, but the wind stopped (except when the cyclones blew 100knots or more).
In my opinion NE Brazil (the area I live now) is the perfect place if you want consistently warm temperatures and kitable wind almost all year long.
Should you be able to find a better place (I'm still looking), please let me know.
Cheers

thanks for the reply!
what part of brazil exactly? the reason i ask is that i am looking at yearly averages on windalert.com. (how accurate is this average chart thing provided by windalert.com?)
Maui:
http://www.windalert.com/spot/643 *see wind statistics
the readings year round in maui SEEM OUT OF THIS FUCKING WORLD!!??!
how is that possible for there to be so much wind in maui?i have yet to see another location with readings like that throughout the entire year.
in any case i most defiantly think i am going to maui this summer to experience heaven on earth!
but it just got me thinking is there somewhere else that is as good or better!?!! and if anyone has any thing to say about maui kiteboarding i am all ears! i have pretty much exhausted the search function hence my post.
thank you

if you go to Maui, be sure to bring a 7 & a 5. you'll use the 7 a lot & probably the 5 too - particularly if you're there in the summer. they say it blows 9 out of 10 days all summer long.

Yes.....Maui blows a lot and strong; It is a pretty tough place to beat.
You wont be dissapointed! Although it is not impossible to get skunked just like that possibility from anywhere. Confirming a previous post, I wouldnt consider going to Maui without a 7m
One of the reasons Maui blows so hard and so much is that it is in the tradewind zone, and then combine that with mountains that funnel the wind....and viola "High Wind"
Certain times of the year though "Winter" (December, January, ?Febuary) I would take Western Australia over Maui; you would likely get more days there at that time of year.
I would really like to try Brazil one of these days....or years....as others have mentioned it being great.
