fins on light wind kiting

Postby mocolombo » Wed Oct 17, 2012 1:36 pm

Hi, i ride a global kitesurf board with quad fins. My board has 5 rooms, so i can right from 1 to 5 fins.

My question is: How many fins should be better to ride on marginal winds? I found quad is not good for this condition.... may be 2 fins?

I have experimented with fins on a 6 foot global type board with 18-19inch width. My conclusion is one single 42cm windsurfing race fin works best going upwind.
