Use a GREAT base coat. I like the sticky bumps...or maybe even the bubble gum. I apply one layer of basecoat, before make square patterns.
For top coats it depends a little on what you do, but definitely get the right temperature.
If you like sticky waxes, then use either bubble gum gu (my favorite) or sticky bumps punt..the punt is a lot harder to get right. If you put too much of this, it will be a pita....
If you do not care for sticky use regular sticky bumps or regular bubble gum. I would maybe even consider going on level warmer on the bubble gum (if you can).
If you get a great layer of basecoat set right, you should be fine. Like above apply a little layer of top coat before each session...most people that have the same problem you do, usually do not use basecoat...
Once you get the buildup right it will be a lot less problematic.
I've tried pretty much every single wax out there.
