Agree 100%. If you are new, and others are on 7's, then you should be on a 7 or even a 6 or 5. It's way windier than 18.
@toby...read the post. wind speed and weight are on here and board size makes no difference at all if you are having tons of lift with the kite at 12.

Sorry I think I was misunderstood because I was the only one out that day. So far as I know there are only two other kiters in the area. What I meant was 7s are the other kites my friend and I own. I have been out since though and all was fine. Maybe it was just a mental thing haha
