there are rings on both sides so you can put a line across the back for your leash attachment :)

Looks like Alldredge and rebstock are using them and switched from dakine, they look good for waves on their site.

Hey Guys. My name is Coleman and I make Engine Harnesses in my living room (my housemates hate that I have commandeered half of it as a work space). Since each harness is made to order any feature is available a la carte. For example a guy this week wanted a dive knife holster on his so I gotta figure out how to attach that. In regards to the grab handle question I don't use a kite leash so I don't have on mine (the spice girl one  ). I can add loops to either side though or to both if you want to run a rope around the back for handle pass tricks.

Right now I don't make spreader bars or clips, I just tell people to use what they already own. I have plans to make them soon (probably out of carbon).

I started making harnesses because I everything else I tried was honestly crappy. What set me off was when on my first session with a new Mystic Code the entire spreader bar assembly including the straps and buckles tore off the harness on both sides (I have pictures, shit was joke). I was pissed and decided to rebuild it to my specifications. I kept working on gear for myself and eventually started making them from scratch. Ian, Patrick, and some other good riders are all friends and after seeing what I was working on asked if I could make them gear. Their visibility generated some interest, orders started coming in and 7 months later I am somehow in business making these things. Never really intended to start a company but the merit of the product just kind of made it happen all on its own. Ian and Patrick pay something for their harnesses but were getting gear from Dakine for free, I think that says a lot about how good these things are.

Anyhow, let me know if you have other questions or are thinking about getting one. The Facebook "about" tab has info on pricing etc. www.facebook.com/ride.engine

Cheers,
C
