Any tips that you would like to share?
Thank you

Hey man, i don't know too much about the kiteboarding in St Maarten. But i do know someone that knows all about it. I am going to be in Anguilla from the 2nd to the 25th. I will be coming over to St Maarten to kiteboardi the island with my friend that lives there. If you want we could hook up while your there too and go adventure together with my friend that knows all the good spots.

Not sure which side but I always go to Coralita and more often to Coconut Grove (Le Galeon) on the french side. The latter is better with a family as theres a chill beach for the rugrats to play all day. Shade trees, tables, etc. Pack h2o and a lunch and the day goes by way too fast. PM me if you want or need more info. or have extra space in your bag 8)

I kited at Orient Bay in Feb 2010. I think part of it is a nudist beach if you're into looking at wrinkly old ppl or kiting in your birthday suit. The eastern side of the island is the windward side of the island so unfortunately the north, south, west are mostly sheltered from the wind by the mountains or very rocky. The info on splocs seems to be accurate.

Been going there for years.. Wind can be inconsistence. Local kiters are mostly french. Some are cool but most would rather not talk to you. The local kite school owner can be a bit of a$$hole. Try to rent a board and he refused to rent me one. Had to chase down another instructor to rent it from him across the island.

LeGalion is the best spot but officially off limit (Nature Preserve). Orient is the main option. Lots of beach goers... One main designated launch in front of the school.

Will be there about the same time..PM me if you would like more details or maybe ride together.

Le Galion and Coconut grove are the same place. If u kite there just kite well past the windsurf shop and away from ppl. Otherwise if u get the boot go to Coralita, just at the south end of the point. Sandy launch, nobody there.

Love St. Maarten! Work on a cruise ship we're there every cruise. Orient Bay is probably the best option. I haven't actually kited there but there is a school there and they also take you out with a boat for downwinders, but there is a section in Orient Bay in the middle where you can launch. Most of the time when there's swell I would go surf at Le Gallion. Last time I rented a hobie from the kite school and had some fun. Will be in St. Maarten again on April 7th. Tomorrow is St. Thomas hoping for some wind.
PM me if you're still in St. Maarten on the 7th and want to go for a kite at Orient Bay
