yep theres something primal about 35+ knot sessions. A battle against man and wind. The speed of the small kite the tumultious sea... i live for those sessons.

I did it just the other day. Only problem with it is it's gusty and I fly C's so really not the most enjoyable kiting.

Fortunately, I have three 5M kites (Naish Charger, Vari Condore 1, Wainman Bunny) and one 4.5M (Slingshot RPM) to choose from, I can always find the right kite in these stormy weathers. :D

Been there, done that.

Nowadays a nice relaxed, yet with a powered bigger kite gets me going.
Those 30+ just became stress and hoping not to get injured.
Happy to have that left behind me without serious injuries.

But great if others enjoy it! Have fun :thumb:

powered big kite can be worse tho!.
I've had 3 sessions this week.
10m 18-22 knots
6m 20-38 knots
15m 16-20 knots

The most fun for me was 20-38 knot on the 6.. wristling with the wind gods,,, man that was a punchy powerfull session.

But I got most hammered on the 16-20 knot session man handling the speed 3 through head head plus waves. that was very silly indeed.

ok so the faster the wind the smaller the kite and the faster it can loop uncontrollable. but if your overpowered on any kite its still more dangerous being properly powered on the correct kite regardless of wind speed.

I hope you never get bored with airstyle! Youve said the above regarding every discipline out there so many times you've kind of kited yourself into a corner. For someone who pays lip service to how great and varied the sport is, you are one of its narrowest participants.

The pictured conditions look like so much fun! Small kites these days are incredible and make it all feel so much easier. Love feeling like youre in control in the midst of total chaos.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Fun is absolutely an individual concept. He has done it all and settled on what he likes. Some think that kiting freestyle is fun, but some like the big air. Some want to shred waves, and some want to snowkite. Some only want to kite over long distances and lose themselves in the zen of it. Respecting and promoting variety does not obligate one to participate in it.
